Production Supervisor
About Nick
Nick Brooks is a Production Supervisor at Niagara Specialty Metals and has been part of the team for nine years, including two years as a temp and seven years full time.
Why Ownership Culture Matters
Nick believes employee ownership instills drive across the team and makes the work you do feel so much more valuable.
What Customers Might Be Surprised By
Customers are often surprised by the breadth of Niagara’s capabilities. From start to finish, Nick sees firsthand how the team can produce a wide range of sizes, shapes, and finishes—all under one roof—making it impressive to watch the full operation come together.
In the Plant
Nick’s favorite piece of equipment is the rolling mill. From the furnaces and rolling temperatures to watching a block of steel change shape in seconds, the entire process captures what Niagara was built on and why the work is so engaging.
Ideally, Nick says he’d like more than just a day—but he’d trade with anyone in maintenance. Gaining more experience and comfort with their day-to-day work would be incredibly valuable in his role.
Outside of Work
Nick’s first job was setting up banquet events at a country club. Outside of Niagara, he enjoys bowling and golfing and is a big football fan—Go Birds!
Advice for New Team Members
Be patient. The work can feel overwhelming at first, but asking questions, staying willing to learn, and caring about what you do will set you up for success at Niagara.
Favorite Memory at Niagara
One of Nick’s most meaningful memories is his first summer at Niagara. Not knowing anyone and entering an unfamiliar industry forced him to learn quickly, earn respect, and grow—both professionally and personally.
