We currently have eleven electric annealing furnaces on-line, and all have state of the art controls to obtain the exact temperature needed to meet the most demanding specifications.
We can descale sheets and plates by either grit blasting with steel shot or sandblasting with aluminum oxide.
We utilize hydraulic roller levelers, and presses to flatten sheets and plates to our customers tolerances. We can and often do flatten a wide range of customer material, including Titanium and Molybdenum, with a quick turnaround.
Hot Rolling Mills
Our two rolling mills can hot roll practically any metal down to a thickness ranging from .025 to 4 inches. We can process a small 1 piece order as well as a 10,000+ pound order due to the flexible setup of our mills. Gas or electric furnaces are used for hot rolling depending on the material and our customers’ specific needs.
Sawing, Shearing and Cutting
Our cutting capabilities are extensive. We have a 3kW CNC laser to cut sheets up to .300 inches thick and two abrasive water jets that will cut basically any material up to 4″ thick. All three machines are CNC operated to cut your computer generated parts or parts from drawings and samples. Parts are stored in our system to ensure repeatability from order to order.
Our seventeen horizontal and vertical band saws can cut plates up to 8 inches thick and 13 feet long. Strips and plates can be cut anywhere from .575 inches to 56 inches wide with a tolerance of +.063 -.000 inches. We also have shears for cutting sheets rapidly to our customers’ required widths.
