How to use this calculator
- Enter the parent sheet length and width in inches. The calculator allows a maximum parent sheet size of 96" length × 48" width. Standard NSM sheet calculations are based on material up to 24" wide.
- Select a material grade and enter thickness to calculate weight.
- Choose either a DXF file upload or a geometric shape.
- Enter or confirm the part dimensions.
- Click Calculate yield & weight to view estimated yield, weight, scrap, and nesting preview.
Note: Weight estimates only appear after both a material grade and thickness are entered. This calculator uses long-axis cutting orientation only.
