Cutting is an important part of our manufacturing process, making reliable and efficient equipment essential to keeping material moving through production. The new saws enhance our cutting capabilities while helping increase production efficiency.
Investing in new equipment also allows NSM to continue improving the infrastructure behind our manufacturing operations. Rather than waiting for existing equipment or processes to become limitations, we continue looking for opportunities to strengthen the facility and support the work taking place every day.
These saws are now part of that continued investment in the equipment our team uses to serve customers.

New Polyaspartic Flooring Improves Our Manufacturing Environment
Facility improvements are not limited to production equipment. Niagara Specialty Metals also recently installed new polyaspartic flooring throughout key production areas.
The new flooring creates a cleaner, more durable, and more professional manufacturing environment for our employees. Even its appearance was selected with Niagara Specialty Metals in mind. Different-colored flakes were incorporated into the flooring to represent our company colors.
While flooring may not directly process steel, the environment surrounding our equipment and employees remains an important part of our operation. Maintaining and improving that environment supports the people who work throughout our facility every day.
The finished flooring is another example of investing not only in manufacturing capabilities, but also in the workplace itself.
Our Laser Building Expansion Creates Room for Growth
One of the largest facility projects currently underway is the expansion of our Laser Building.
Construction began in March 2026 and continues to progress toward completion later this year. The addition addresses a practical challenge: our existing Laser Building has reached full capacity.
The expanded space will provide much-needed additional storage while creating room for three machines:
- A state-of-the-art laser cutting machine
- A Blanchard grinder
- A CNC milling machine
Adding this equipment will allow Niagara Specialty Metals to continue utilizing current technologies and features while improving workflow. Once the new equipment is installed, the facility will have two of each of these core machines available.
The project is about more than adding manufacturing equipment. The expansion will also include new office space and a modern break room for operators, creating additional space for both production and the employees supporting it.
Construction continues on the Niagara Specialty Metals Laser Building expansion, which will provide additional space for new equipment, storage, offices, and an updated operator break room.
Expanding Our Capabilities While Improving Workflow
The Laser Building expansion will help Niagara Specialty Metals increase available capacity while improving how work moves through the facility.
Bringing the additional laser cutting machine, Blanchard grinder, and CNC milling machine into the expanded building creates more room to organize these operations and support future production needs.
Additional equipment also gives our team more resources to complete work. At the same time, expanded storage helps address the space limitations in the current building.
These improvements complement the investments already made elsewhere in the facility. From the new saws to upgraded production flooring, each project contributes to a broader effort to maintain and improve our manufacturing environment.
