MagnaMax Trademark Officially Registered

Sep 8th 2026

The MagnaMax trademark is now officially registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. On July 28, 2026, Niagara Specialty Metals received federal registration for MAGNAMAX, marking another important milestone for the brand.

The registration comes as MagnaMax® continues to establish its place within Niagara Specialty Metals' specialty steel offerings. Following the introduction of the grade, securing federal trademark registration provides formal protection for the MagnaMax® name as Niagara continues supporting customers with the material.

MagnaMax® Receives Federal Trademark Registration

The MagnaMax trademark was registered on the Principal Register of the United States Patent and Trademark Office under Registration No. 8,369,628.

Niagara Specialty Metals filed the trademark application on August 20, 2024. The registration certificate lists February 28, 2025, as the first-use and first-use-in-commerce date.

The registration covers specified products within International Class 6, including hot rolled steel bars, steel billets, steel plates, and steel sheets. It also covers specified steel processing services within International Class 40, including hot rolling and cutting steel sheets and plates.

With the registration complete, Niagara Specialty Metals can now use the MagnaMax® name with the registered trademark symbol.

Another Milestone for MagnaMax®

Federal trademark registration represents another step forward for MagnaMax® and Niagara Specialty Metals.

Bringing a specialty steel product to market involves much more than making material available. Establishing the MagnaMax® name and protecting the brand are also important parts of building its long-term presence in the market.

This milestone follows the continued introduction of MagnaMax® to customers and provides a clear identity for the material as its use grows.

For Niagara Specialty Metals, the registration is also an accomplishment worth recognizing. The MagnaMax® name is now formally registered alongside the products and processing services identified in the federal registration.

What Comes Next for MagnaMax®

The trademark registration is an important milestone, but the focus remains on getting MagnaMax® into the hands of customers.

Niagara Specialty Metals will continue supporting MagnaMax® through material availability, processing capabilities, and customer service. As more customers work with the grade, the registered MagnaMax® name will provide a consistent identity for the product moving forward.

Receiving Registration No. 8,369,628 marks another chapter in that process. We are proud to officially use MagnaMax® and look forward to continuing to build the brand in the years ahead.

From filing the application in August 2024 to receiving federal registration in July 2026, this milestone gives MagnaMax® a formally registered identity as Niagara Specialty Metals continues to support the product and the customers using it.

We are proud to celebrate this achievement and excited for what comes next for MagnaMax®!
